WM senior footballers have big week
on the recruiting trail

West Monroe athletes have had some good fortunes on the recruiting trail as of late.

West Monroe senior Langston Powell picked up several high jump offers in track and field. Powell, who also was a All-District selection two years in basketball, picked up track and field offers from ULM and Northwestern State.

Powell recently announced his commitment to ULM and will stay home and compete for the Warhawks.

In football recruiting news, running back Cameron Wright and defensive tackle Dalvin Hutchinson have picked up great offers from the next level this month.

UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, Memphis, New Mexico State, South Alabama, UT-San Antonio, Nicholls State, Northwestern State and McNeese State have offered Hutchinson and more could be coming after his strong performance at the Nike combine in Arlington, Texas last week.

Texas Christian University and LSU also have strong interest in Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was an 5A All-State selection as a junior.
Wright had a breakout season as the go-to running back for the Rebels during its run to the 5A semifinals during his junior season.

The senior-to-be recently picked up offers from Mississippi College and McNeese State.
